Osaka University will begin a new admissions entrance examination system.
The new undergraduate course will start from April 2021.
Applicants might be required to submit the japanese language proficiency.
Successful applicants might be required to take a preliminary and extensive Japanese
language education program fox six months prior to enrollment at the undergraduate
course. The japanese education progran will be started from October 2020.
Due to this new entrance examination system, the final admissions for the Special Course in English“Chemistry-Biology Combined Major Program″will occur in 2019 (October 2019 enrollment).For more detail please check the below banner.
Application Procedure
When you apply for this program, please complete the necessary procedures as follows.
1. Visit the following Application Registration website and complete your registration.

Registration Period: December 1 (Sat.), 2018 –January 4 (Fri.), 2019
After completing registration, applicants should receive a mailing address for the application documents and a URL for the downloadable application form by automatic reply e-mail.
2. Pay the application fee. For more details, please refer to page 11 in the guideline.
3. Post the required application documents to the mailing address that is provided by the automatic reply e-mail after completing the application registration. Please note that application documents must reach the mailing address by January 11, 2019. The application documents must be sent by a registered mailing service such as EMS, FedEx, DHL, UPS, etc. We cannot accept responsibility for loss or any delay in the delivery of your application.

Frequent Q and A
Q: I am non-native speaker of English and attending international school (including local school in the US/UK/Australia/New Zealand) all taught in English. Do I have to submit results of English proficiency tests?
A: If you have/had been taught in English, you do not need to submit any results of such tests.
Q: Do you have a specific form of the recommendation letter? Do I need to submit more than 1 letter?
A: One recommendation letter will be enough. If you submit several letters, we will also check all.Please use official letterhead with date and sign by the recommender. In addition, it should be sealed by the school. Applicants may enclose it in the same envelop with other application documents.
Q: At the time of deadline, I will not be able to submit the final transcripts because I am still in the last year. What should I do?
A: Please submit the transcripts of the latest one and/or predicted scores at the time of application. In addition, be sure to submit an official certificate of expected graduation.
Q: Many years have passed since I graduated from high school. Am I eligible?
A: We do not set any criteria for the application age as long as applicants have completed 12 year education curriculum.
Q: I have several passports including Japanese one. By which nationality should I apply/enroll for the program?
A: There is a regulation in which people holding several passports including Japanese one must enter Japan with Japanese passport. Otherwise, they must withdraw the Japanese one.
Q: I have noticed that a lot of the application documents requirements overlap in my case. Does this mean that I only need to send the Certificate and Result as one document; or is it correct to prepare to send 3 copies of the same documents.
A: You only need to send the certificate and results as one
