Cell Biology 3

Outline

This course is designed for the students who wish to acquire an in-depth knowledge in Cell Biology, and provide them with the know-how to develop their ability to explore and resolve the world’s pressing problems in the field of biology. Students should be armed with the ability to critically think by asking scientific questions, formulating hypothesis, and designing experiments related to biology.

 

 

To take this course, students should have basic knowledge on-
(1) Cell Biology 1
(2) Cell Biology 2
(3) Biochemistry 1and
(4) Biochemistry 2

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, students are expected to:

  1. Get an overview of the different biological disciplines.
  2. Understand the major biological concepts.
  3. Smear the learned concepts to new problems and alternative thoughts for possible solutions.

Attendance:                                                    10%
Examinations:                                                  50%
Paper understanding & exercise participation: 25%
In guest lectures, students should submit a report on what they learn in each class, 15% grading.

80% attendance is required to pass this course.
